ePoster Service Booking: Technical Troubleshooting
This guide is intended to assist event organizers at KAUST who want to use the ePoster service outside the library for their ePoster events.
ePoster Screens
All screens are equipped with the Windows operating system; by default, it will boot up, automatically log in, and land on the Repository website, where you should find your event in the "Current Poster Session."
Below are screenshots of how the screen should look; if not, below you will find a list of the most common technical difficulties and how to troubleshoot them in this guide.

Quick Technical Troubleshooting
- Problem: The screen is switched off
- Solution:
- Press the power button (first button from the left) in the bottom right corner of the screen
- The screen will automatically login to the windows user and open the KAUST repository page
- Select your event from the "Current Poster Session"
- Find your title from the list
- Open your poster by clicking on the "Thumbnail"
- Problem: The screen is running the Android system (similar to the below picture)
- Solution: Press the settings button (third button from the right) on the bottom right corner of the screen and select PC to return to the correct mode
- Problem: The drawing/writing (EZ Write) app appears (similar to the below picture)
- Solution: Touch it in the central EZ circle, and it should disappear
- Problem: Open an incorrect poster
- Solution:
- One poster per screen mode:
- Click the Home icon from the toolbar on the top left corner of the screen
- Select your event from the "Current Poster Session"
- Find your title from the list
- Open your poster by clicking on "Thumbnail"
- Split screen mode:
- Switch off the screen by holding on the power button (first button from the left) in the bottom right corner of the screen
- Switch on the screen again by pressing the power button (first button from the left) in the bottom right corner
- If the screen bootup on the Android system, then press the settings button (third button from the right) on the bottom right corner of the screen and select PC to return to the correct mode
- The screen will automatically login to the windows user and open the KAUST repository page
- Select your event from the "Current Poster Session"
- Find your title from the list
- Open your poster by clicking on "Thumbnail"
- One poster per screen mode:
