KAUST requires that graduating students' master's thesis or doctoral dissertation be deposited in the KAUST Research Repository.
If you are a student preparing to graduate, please visit Thesis Deposit Instructions for detailed instructions on the submission and approval process.
Under the KAUST Open Access Policy, the library tracks new research publications (such as book chapters, conference papers and journal articles) from authors affiliated to KAUST.
Depending on the publication license and journal policy, library staff will either directly deposit the full text of the publication to the repository or send a request to the authors to provide their own file. Researchers can also deposit their publications directly to the repository, for more information visit Submit a copy of your article for deposit.
Datasets, software, posters, presentations, protocols, and more can all be deposited in the KAUST repository.
A DOI can be registered for them, making them easier to cite and for others to find. Deposits can also be linked to your ORCID iD so that your ORCID record has a more complete record of all of your work.
To get started, go to the KAUST Repository, log in with your KAUST username and password, hover over the "+" symbol in the upper left-hand corner, click on "New" -> "Item", and then select the collection for the type of output that you want to deposit. If you have any questions, please contact repository@kaust.edu.sa
