SAE Mobilus platform covers a range of technologies in aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle industries with more than 200.000 resources including aerospace and ground vehicle standards, aerospace material specifications, technical papers, ebooks and journals.
The SAE stands for the Society of Automotive Engineering. It was founded in 1905 by Andrew Ricker and Henry Ford, to provide an umbrella organization for the scattered automotive engineers, who usually worked alone.
Today SAE serves around 140000 individual members around the world, through standardization, STEM promotion, professional development, and certification.
KAUST has access to SAE technical papers from 1998 until today.
SAE is known for its ratings of automobile horsepower and aerospace industry standards. Their recommendations are not legally binding, but they are accepted by industries and government agencies.
The organization publishes new, revised, and reaffirmed standards each year in three categories:
Ground Vehicle Standards (J-Reports)
Aerospace Standards
Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS).
You can customize the SAE MOBILUS platform for your specific needs by registering on SAE MOBILUS Dashboard to be able to create folders, organize and annotate documents, save searches.
