Document Delivery Services : Home

Document Delivery Service (DDS) is a service for KAUST students, faculty and staff to request full-text articles and book chapters (maximum 3 chapters) not available in the Library sources.

Who is Eligible to Use This Service?

Applicable to all KAUST current students, faculty, staff, Sabic, Aramco and DOW.

What Can I Request?

Journal articles
Book chapters (maximum 3 chapters)
Conference papers
Dissertations and theses
Other publications

We cannot usually obtain:

Books (You can recommend it to be purchased)
Marketing reports

Document Delivery @ KAUST

King Abdullah University of Science & Technology library provides document delivery services to authorized users to increase access to resources in order to improve teaching and research. This guide will help you understand how to obtain items not available in the KAUST University Library collection. Each user may request up to a maximum of FIVE articles per semester.

How to Request an Article

To request an article, navigate to the library home page (https://library.kaust.edu.sa) and click on the Request an Article button on the right side of this page per the screenshot below.

How Long it Will Take to Receive My Document?

Recent articles are usually available immediately. Older articles can usually be sourced and provided to us within 48 hours. Very old articles can take up to a week or more to be provided to us. If there are delays in providing a requested article to a user, the user will be notified by email of the delay.
