Encyclopedias and Handbooks

COVID-19 is a new virus, but it is not the first coronavirus that the world has dealt with.  Previous coronaviruses, particularly Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) have been widely documented and written about in the journal, book, and public health literature.  These reference sources can be consulted to understand the nature of coronaviruses.
